Barbers & salons · Built for the trade

Web design for barbers and hair salons, from £395

Your booking app is excellent at taking an appointment from somebody who has already chosen you, and useless at everything before that.

The person who just moved into the area is looking at five pins and some photographs. We build the site that gets you picked: your work at full size, every price listed, one tap into the booking system you already have.

The honest version

The booking app is not a website, and it is not yours

Most barbers and salons solved bookings years ago and stopped there. The platform takes the appointment, sends the reminder, handles the no-shows, and that genuinely is most of the daily admin dealt with. So the question becomes why bother with anything else.

The answer is that a booking platform only works on people who have already chosen you. It does almost nothing for the person who has just moved into the area and is searching, who has no idea you exist and is choosing between four places on a map with photographs. It does not show your work at full size, it does not explain what you are actually good at, and it does not carry your prices in a way that gets you found. It also owns the customer list and charges you a share for the privilege.

A site in front of it is cheap and it does the part the platform cannot: getting chosen in the first place.

What we build

What we would put on a barber or salon site

Work first, prices in full, booking one tap away.

The work, large and current

Finished heads, not the empty shop. If you specialise in fades, colour correction or curly hair, the gallery should make that unmissable.

Every price, listed

An unlisted price is assumed to be a high one. A full menu also lets colour and treatment work sit as normal options rather than an upsell in the chair.

Straight into your booking system

Keep whatever you already use. The site's job is to get somebody to the point of booking, not to replace the thing that works.

Where you are and how to park

More appointments are lost to somebody not finding the door or the parking than any salon realises.

Reviews, and a route to leave one

Hair is chosen on other people's experience more than almost anything else. We never print an average score and never invent one.

Your specialities, named

Children, curly hair, barbering for older men, bridal, colour correction. The customers who travel furthest and complain least are the ones searching for a speciality.

Proof

What is live, and what is only a concept

We have concept builds in this sector. They are labelled concepts, not clients.

On our work page every entry says what it is. A concept build is a site we designed to show what we can do, not a business paying us, and we label it that way because the alternative is lying to you. Several agencies do not.

Professor Personal Training

Live at professorpt.com since July 2026. Appointment-based, local, sold on results and personality rather than price.

The closest live analogue to a chair-based business we have.

M&M Detailing

Live at mmdetailing.uk, on a care plan since July 2026. A booking-led local business that lives or dies on its before and after gallery.

Read the case study.

Getting found

The map, and then the photographs

Barber near me and hairdresser near me are among the most map-dominated searches there are. Somebody new to the area opens their phone, sees five pins, and looks at the photographs on each profile. That decision often happens without anybody visiting a website at all, which is why we set up and fill in the Google Business Profile as part of every build in this trade.

Where the site earns its place is the speciality searches and the follow-up. Somebody who has seen you on the map and is deciding will click through, and what they find should be your actual work, your full price list and a booking button, not a slideshow of the shop front. And if you are known for something specific, that is the page that brings people from further away.

How it works

Built first, then you decide

Send us your shop name and a dozen photographs of your work. Within 48 hours you get a link to a real working site with your prices and your gallery on it. If it is not right, say so and you owe nothing. No card and no call to sit through.

A one-page site with your work, prices and a link into your existing booking system is £395 and genuinely covers most barbers. £650 buys the fuller version with speciality pages and a proper gallery. £1,200 is for a multi-stylist salon needing more. You own it either way.

Care plans start at £45 a month with no minimum term. For a salon the useful part is somebody keeping the gallery and the price list current, which is the thing that always slips.

Questions

What barbers and salons ask us

I already use a booking platform. Does that count as a website?

It counts as a booking system, which is not the same thing. A booking platform is excellent at taking an appointment from somebody who has already chosen you, and poor at everything before that: being found in a search, showing your work at full size, explaining what you specialise in, and telling somebody why you rather than the shop two doors down. It also owns your customer list and charges you for the privilege. Keep the booking system, put a real site in front of it.

Should I list every price?

Yes, all of them, and it is not close. Hair and barbering are trades where an unlisted price is assumed to be high, and where a large share of people will simply not walk into a place they cannot price beforehand. A full list also does quiet work for you: it lets you present the expensive services as a normal part of the menu rather than something you have to sell in the chair, which is how most salons end up underselling colour work.

How many photographs do I need, and of what?

A steady supply, and of finished heads rather than the interior. Most salon sites we see lead with a photograph of the empty shop and hide the work three scrolls down. The shop is not what anybody is choosing. If you specialise in something, whether that is fades, colour correction, curly hair or barbering for children, the gallery should make that unmissable, because those are the customers who travel further and complain less.

Do I need a site if I rent a chair?

It is arguably more useful, because a chair renter is a business inside a business and the shop's name is not yours. Your own site, your own booking link and your own gallery mean that your customers follow you if you move, which happens a lot. It does not need to be big. One page with your work, your prices, where you currently are and how to book will do it.

Have you built for a barber or salon?

We have built concept sites in the sector, and they are labelled as concepts on our work page rather than dressed up as clients. What we have live is a personal training business and two detailing businesses, all on their own domains, all appointment-based local businesses with the same reliance on photographs, repeat visits and social proof. We would rather point you at real live sites in adjacent trades than at something we mocked up.
