Web design for landscapers and tree surgeons, from £395
You run two businesses out of one van. One sells a garden somebody has thought about for two years. The other sells a fallen limb dealt with this afternoon.
Most sites in your trade are built for neither. We split them apart from the first screen, put the before and after where it does the work, and state the tickets and the cover. We build for a landscaping firm already.
Two customers, two moods, one business
You are running two businesses that happen to share a van. One sells planned work: a garden somebody has been thinking about for two years, with a budget, decided slowly, worth thousands. The other sells urgent work: a fallen limb, a hedge that has swallowed a fence, a tree the neighbour has complained about, decided in twenty minutes by whoever answers.
Most landscaping websites are built for neither. They open with a soft line about transforming outdoor spaces, show six photographs with no context, and put the phone number at the bottom. The person with the emergency has already rung somebody else. The person with the budget cannot tell whether you do design work or just cut grass.
Splitting those two apart, properly, from the first screen, is the single biggest improvement available to most firms in your trade, and it costs nothing but clear thinking about who is arriving.
What goes on a landscaping and tree surgery site
Six things, arranged around the fact that you have two different customers.
Planned work, sold slowly
Design, patios, decking, turfing, full redesigns. Photographs, a process, a realistic range, and no pressure, because this person is deciding over weeks.
Urgent work, sold in a minute
Storm damage, dangerous limbs, emergency clearance. A number at the top, your hours, and how fast you can realistically be there.
Tickets and cover, up front
Certificates and public liability as a number. In tree work this is not box ticking, it is the thing the customer is quietly worried about.
Before and after, same angle
The transformation is your product. Shot from the same spot, it sells better than anything written.
The radius you actually work
Stated plainly, so you stop driving to quote for jobs forty minutes away that you were never going to take.
A seasonal front page
Hard landscaping in spring, clearance and storm work in autumn. The site should not be advertising patios in November.
Direct Landscaping and Tree Care
A landscaping and tree surgery firm we build for, live since September 2026.
Direct Landscaping and Tree Care
Live at directlandscapingandtreecare.co.uk, built and taken live by us in September 2026, carrying our footer link, and on a monthly care plan. We handled the domain and DNS side of it as well, including pointing a second domain they already owned at the live site rather than leaving it stranded.
That domain work is the part most firms get stuck on and it is included. See every client we have live for the full list.
Local, seasonal and very specific
Garden work is searched for at street level. Tree surgeon plus a town. Patio installer plus a town. Hedge cutting, stump grinding, garden clearance, each with a place name attached. These are not big national keywords and that is exactly why they are winnable for a firm your size.
Your Google Business Profile is doing at least as much work as the website here, because the map results sit above everything else for these searches. We set it up as part of a build: right categories, honest service area, and your before and after photographs loaded onto it, which is the single most neglected and most effective thing a landscaper can do online.
What we will not do is spin up a page for every village within thirty miles. Google has stopped rewarding it and it makes a good firm look like a lead farm.
Built first, paid for second
Send us the business name and some before and after photographs. Within 48 hours you get a link to a working site built for your firm. If it is wrong, say so and you owe nothing. There is no deposit and no call you have to sit through.
A site that separates your planned work from your urgent work and does both properly is £395. £650 buys more depth, more service pages and the seasonal structure built in. £1,200 is for the larger operation that needs more of a system. You own it whichever you pick.
A care plan is optional, starts at £45 a month, and has no minimum term. For a seasonal trade that matters, because the plan is genuinely there to change the site as your year changes rather than to charge you rent on your own website.
What landscapers and tree surgeons ask us
Landscaping and tree work are different jobs. Should they be on one site?
One site, but not one page. A homeowner who wants a new patio and lawn is planning something, has a budget, and will take weeks to decide. A homeowner with a split limb hanging over a conservatory wants somebody this afternoon and is not comparing quotes. If those two land on the same page, the page is pitched wrong for both. We build the planned work and the urgent work as separate routes from the first screen.
Do I need to mention qualifications for tree work?
Yes, and specifically. Tree surgery is one of the few domestic trades where the customer has genuinely heard of people being hurt, and where the insurance question is not paranoia. Your certificates, your public liability cover level as a number, and whether you are set up to deal with protected trees and conservation areas should all be findable in about four seconds. That last one wins jobs on its own, because most people do not know whether their tree is protected and are relieved to find somebody who will tell them.
How should seasonal work be handled?
By changing what the site leads with. Landscaping has a violently seasonal year: hard landscaping and design in spring, maintenance through summer, and then hedge cutting, clearance and storm work through the back end. A site that pushes patios in November is advertising something nobody is buying. On a care plan we change the front of the site with the season. If you would rather do it yourself, we will build it so you can, and show you how.
Should I put prices on garden work?
Ranges, yes, and they do a lot of work for you. Landscaping suffers worse than most trades from enquiries with no budget behind them, because a garden is one of those things people imagine costs about a thousand pounds until somebody tells them otherwise. A stated range for a typical patio or a typical full redesign will cost you some enquiries and save you a great many site visits that were never going to turn into anything.
Do before and after photos really matter that much?
In your trade they matter more than in almost any other, because the transformation is the entire product and it is genuinely dramatic. Nobody photographs a rewire and gasps. A shot of a neglected garden next to the finished version does more selling than any paragraph either of us could write. The only requirement is that they are taken from the same spot, which sounds obvious and is almost never done.
Towns with a page of their own
We are a Southampton studio and we work wherever the job is. These towns have a page of their own on what the local market looks like and who you are up against.
Other trades, and four plain guides
Each trade has a page of its own. The guides cover what a site costs, how a directory listing compares, your Google listing, and paying in parts.
