Roofing · Built for the trade

Web design for roofers, from £395

Decades of doorstep callers have left your customer braced for a scam before you open your mouth. You start every conversation carrying somebody else's reputation.

We build roofing sites to prove the opposite: a real address, cover in numbers, jobs with the story attached, guarantees in plain terms. We have no roofing clients yet and we say so here.

The honest version

You are starting every conversation carrying somebody else's reputation

No other trade has the problem roofing has. Decades of doorstep callers telling people their roof is dangerous have left the public braced for a scam before you open your mouth. It does not matter that you are nothing like that. The suspicion arrives before you do.

Which is why a roofing website is worth more to you than to almost any other trade, and why it needs to be built for a specific purpose: proving you are a real, findable, accountable business. A registered address. A company number. Named people with faces. Cover levels as numbers. Guarantees with terms. Jobs with dates and photographs. Reviews that are not all from the same fortnight.

None of that is exciting design work. All of it is the difference between a homeowner ringing you and a homeowner ringing the national firm because at least they have heard of them.

What we build

What we would put on a roofer's website

Aimed squarely at the suspicion you did not earn.

Emergency and planned, split apart

A leak in a storm needs a number in four seconds. A re-roof is a five figure decision taken over a month. Two routes, from the first screen.

Proof that you are a real firm

Registered address, company number, cover levels as figures, named people. The things a doorstep caller can never show.

Jobs with the story attached

Before, after, and what was actually wrong. Drone footage where you have it, because most people have never seen their own roof.

Honest ranges and a free inspection

What a typical re-roof has cost in your area, and an inspection that explicitly includes being told when nothing needs doing.

Guarantees, in plain terms

Length, what is covered and what is not. Vague guarantees read as no guarantee to a customer already expecting to be had.

Reviews with dates spread out

A run of reviews across years beats a cluster from one month. We never print an average score and never invent one.

Proof

We have no roofing clients, so here is what we do have

Two live sites on their own domains, in trades with the same problems.

The same big considered job

Shakeshaft and Jones, live at shakeshaftjones.co.uk, sells expensive home work to people who cannot assess the quality themselves and are deciding slowly.

Read the case study.

The same storm call-outs

Direct Landscaping and Tree Care, live at directlandscapingandtreecare.co.uk, runs planned work and weather emergencies out of one business, exactly as you do.

Live since September 2026.

Everything on our work page is labelled: live clients as live clients, concepts as concepts. Check it rather than taking our word.

Getting found

Storms make the searches, and they do not wait

Roofing demand is weather-driven and extremely spiky. The week after a storm, roof repair plus a town is searched many times its normal rate, mostly on phones, mostly resolved through the map results within a few minutes. If your Google Business Profile is thin or your hours are wrong, that week passes you by entirely and you will never know it happened.

So the profile comes first and we set it up as part of a build. The website then does the work on the planned side, where somebody is researching a full re-roof over several weeks and is comparing firms properly. That is where the photographs, the guarantees and the evidence that you are a real company decide it.

How it works

See it before you pay for it

Tell us about the firm and send a few photographs of finished roofs. Within 48 hours you get a link to a real working site. If it is not right, say so and you owe nothing, with no card taken and no call to sit through.

A site that handles emergencies and planned work properly is £395. £650 buys more depth and a page per service. £1,200 is for a larger operation. You own it either way, and a build can be split across three payments within twelve months at the same price.

Care plans start at £45 a month, no minimum term, entirely optional.

Questions

What roofers ask us

Roofing has a bad reputation because of doorstep cold callers. How does a site help?

It is the main reason to have one. Your trade is the one most associated with people knocking on doors telling pensioners their roof needs urgent work. That means the honest roofer starts every conversation carrying somebody else's reputation. A website is where you put the things a cold caller never has: a business address, a company number, named people, cover levels, photographs of jobs with the story attached, and reviews with dates on them. It converts you from a stranger at the door into a firm that demonstrably exists.

Should I offer free roof inspections on the site?

It works well, with one condition: be explicit that a free inspection is not a free repair and that you will tell them if nothing needs doing. That second half matters enormously in your trade, because the fear is being told about a problem that is not there. A roofer who writes in plain words that most inspections end with nothing needing doing is making a claim the doorstep merchants never make, and people notice.

Drone footage. Gimmick or genuinely useful?

Genuinely useful, and underused. Most homeowners have never seen their own roof. A short clip showing the actual defect, with a voice explaining what it is, does more to close a job than any amount of written reassurance, because it moves you from asking them to trust you to showing them the evidence. It also gives you excellent website and social content, since the before and after from above is dramatic in a way ground-level photographs are not.

Emergency leaks or planned re-roofs. Which should the site prioritise?

Both, separated. A leak in a storm is a four second decision made on a phone and it needs a number at the top of the screen. A full re-roof is a five figure purchase decided over a month with a partner, and needs photographs, a process, guarantees and a realistic range. We build them as two routes from the first screen rather than trying to pitch at the middle, which is what most roofing sites do and why they convert poorly at both ends.

Do you have roofing clients?

No, not yet, and we are not going to pretend otherwise on a page designed to sell you something. The nearest real proof we have is a home improvements firm and a landscaping and tree care firm, both live on their own domains, both linked below. One sells the same kind of large considered home job as a re-roof, the other has the identical emergency and planned split. You can check both yourself in about a minute.
