Paying in parts · No deposit, no minimum term

Pay monthly websites, without renting one

We do not rent websites out. We build yours for a fixed price from £395, let you pay it in three parts at the same price, and the site is yours from the day it goes live.

The only monthly charge is an optional care plan from £45 a month, with no minimum term. You see the finished site before you pay anything.

The short answer

We do not rent websites. We let you spread the cost of owning one

If you searched for a pay monthly website, you are probably after one of two things. Either you would rather not find several hundred pounds in one go, or you like the idea of one predictable monthly figure with everything looked after. Both are reasonable, and we can help with both. We just do it differently from a rental deal, and we would rather explain the difference than blur it.

A typical pay monthly website is a rental. There is little or nothing to pay at the start, then a monthly fee for a fixed term, and in many cases the site belongs to the provider for as long as the agreement runs. Some are good value and honestly sold. The thing to check on any of them is what you are left with if you stop paying.

Ours is a purchase. The build has a fixed price, you can pay it in three parts, and the site is yours from the day it goes live. Looking after it is a separate, optional monthly plan that you can stop whenever you like.

The build

Three payments, same price

The price of the build does not change because you split it.

Starter, £395

One to four pages, built for phones first, with click-to-call, WhatsApp and a contact form. In three payments that is about £132 a time.

Business, £650

Around eight pages, online booking, your Google Business Profile set up, business email and written copy. About £217 a time in three.

Premium, £1,200

For a site that is part of how the business runs: bookings with deposits, a list you edit yourself, more pages and locations. In three payments, a third of the price each time.

There is no interest, no fee for splitting and no credit agreement. All three payments fall within twelve months, on dates we agree with you. Nothing is due until you have seen the finished preview and decided you want it, so there is no deposit either. What each build includes is on the pricing page.

The monthly part

A care plan is the bit that is monthly, and it is optional

Month to month, no minimum term, and you can stop in one message.

Looked After, £45 a month

Your site checked every half hour, changes made whenever you ask with no fee per change, a written report every month and your Google listing kept accurate.

Found, £85 a month

Everything in Looked After, plus one improvement to the site every month without being asked, a recent job written up as its own page, your own Google review link and QR card, and every review answered in your name.

Found and Growing, £150 a month

Everything in Found, plus a new service or area page every month, something new built into the site each quarter and a full refresh every year.

Nothing monthly starts until the site is live. The build is yours whether you take a plan or not, and you can start or stop one in any month. The care plans are set out in full here.

The sums

What it looks like month by month

Our own prices, added up. Nothing here is an estimate.

The smallest version. A £395 Starter build in three payments of about £132, and no care plan. Total: £395. After the third payment there is nothing more to pay us.

The most common shape. A £395 Starter build split in three, plus the £45 Looked After plan from the day the site goes live. The first year comes to £935, which is £395 for the build and £540 for twelve months of the plan. Every year after that is £540 if you keep the plan, and nothing if you do not.

A fuller site. A £650 Business build split in three, plus the £85 Found plan. The first year comes to £1,670, and each year after is £1,020 for as long as you want the plan.

Put those next to any monthly quote you have been given by multiplying its fee by the length of the term. Then ask the one question that settles it: if I stop paying next month, what do I have?

Before you sign anything

Four things to check on any monthly website deal

Ours included. These are the answers that tell you whether it is a purchase or a rental.

  • The minimum term, and how much notice you have to give to leave at the end of it.
  • Who owns the website, and whether you can take the files with you if you stop.
  • Whose name the domain is registered in. It should be yours.
  • The total over the whole term, written down, next to what you get to keep.

Our answers are: no minimum term on the plan, the site is yours from the day it goes live, the domain is registered to you, and the totals are the ones in the section above. If you are in a contract with a directory or a website provider already, this page covers what to sort out before you cancel, and this one covers what a tradesman's website should cost.

Questions

What people ask about paying monthly

Do you sell a pay monthly website?

Not in the usual sense. We do not rent websites out for a monthly fee. We build the site for a fixed price, which you can pay in one go or in three payments at the same price, and it is yours. The only thing we charge monthly is an optional care plan for looking after it, and that has no minimum term.

Is there a deposit, or anything to pay before I see the site?

No. We build a real working preview first, inside 48 hours, and you look at it before any money changes hands. If you do not want it, you owe nothing. If you do, the first payment is due then, not before.

Is splitting the build into three payments a finance agreement?

No. There is no credit agreement, no credit check, no interest and no fee for splitting. It is the same price taken in three parts, all paid within twelve months, on dates we agree with you when you go ahead.

What happens if I stop the care plan?

The plan stops and the site stays yours. Your site, your words, your photographs and your domain belong to you, and we hand everything over in a standard format you can take anywhere. You can stop in one message, in any month.

Which works out cheaper, renting a site or buying one?

It depends on the monthly figure and how long you keep the site, so do the sum for your own quotes: monthly fee times the months you expect to trade, against the build price plus whatever you would pay for upkeep. Our article on paying monthly or buying outright works through it over five years, including the cases where renting is the sensible choice.
