Personal training & coaching · Built for the trade

Web design for personal trainers, from £395

Somebody has followed you for three months and finally decided this is the week. Now they have to get through a grid, a bio, a link tree and a DM you answer four hours later.

That gap is the most expensive leak in your trade and you never hear from the people who give up. We build the page that catches them: what you do, what it costs, whether there is space, one button.

The honest version

The gap between following you and paying you

Personal training has an unusual sales problem. Most trades have to find customers. You usually have an audience already, sometimes a big one, and the difficulty is the last two feet: somebody has watched your content for months, has finally decided this is the week, and now has to work out what you charge, whether you have space, and what actually happens next.

On a social profile that journey is a grid, a bio, a link tree and a DM that you answer four hours later. Every one of those is a place to lose somebody who had already decided to buy. It is the single most expensive leak in the trade and almost nobody measures it, because you never hear from the people who gave up.

A trainer's website does not need to be clever. It needs to catch that person: what you do, what it costs, whether there is space, and one button that starts it.

What we build

What goes on a personal trainer's site

Built for the person who has already decided and just needs to be able to start.

What you actually offer, separated

One to one, small group, online coaching, programmes. Different prices, different people, different pages.

Prices on the page

It filters, and it positions. Message me for prices reads as either expensive or negotiable and loses both kinds of customer.

Booking that matches how you sell

A consultation form if the conversation is the sale. A real calendar if you run rolling sessions and people book at half ten at night.

Client stories, specific and named

Their words about what changed. No implied typical results, because it is not true and for health claims it comes back on you.

Online coaching sold properly

Plans, programmes and subscriptions taken through the site instead of through DMs and bank transfers. This is the part that scales past your diary.

One button, everywhere

The person who has decided should never have to look for how to start. Same action, top of every page.

Professor Personal Training

Live at professorpt.com since July 2026, built by us and carrying our footer link. He took the build and runs it himself without a monthly plan, which we mention because it is true and because we would rather you knew that not every client of ours needs us on a retainer.

Getting found

Search, social and the map all pull different people

Social brings you people who like you. Search brings you people who have decided. Personal trainer plus a town, and near me variants of it, are searched by somebody who is not following anybody and just wants a trainer close enough to actually turn up to. Those are excellent clients and they are invisible to you if you are social-only.

If you train out of a fixed gym or studio, your Google Business Profile matters a great deal and we set it up as part of a build. If you are mobile or online, it matters less and the site carries more of the weight, so we build it differently. Which one you are is the first question we ask.

How it works

See it before you pay for it

Tell us about your training business and send a few photos. Within 48 hours you get a link to a real working site built for you. If it is not right, say so and you owe nothing. No card up front, no call to sit through.

A clean site with your services, your prices and a booking route is £395. £650 buys the fuller version with separate pages for one to one, group and online. £1,200 is for a real online coaching setup with payments and member content, which is a different kind of build. You own whichever you take.

Care plans start at £45 a month with no minimum term, and they are optional.

Questions

What personal trainers ask us

My whole business runs through Instagram. Why would I need a website?

Because Instagram is rented and because it is bad at the one moment that matters. Somebody who has followed you for three months and finally decided to do something about it needs to find out what you charge, whether you have space, and how to start. On Instagram that means scrolling a grid, reading a bio, tapping a link tree and giving up. On a website it is one page. You are not replacing the feed, you are giving the people it warms up somewhere to actually convert.

Should I publish my prices?

Yes, and this is the argument we have most often with trainers. The fear is that a number scares people off. What actually happens is that hiding it scares off everyone except the price-shoppers, who message you, find out, and vanish, having cost you an evening. Published prices do two useful things: they filter, and they position. A trainer charging well above the gym floor rate who explains why is more convincing than one who says message me for prices, which reads as either expensive or negotiable and puts people off either way.

Is a booking system worth it, or is a form enough?

Depends entirely on how you sell. If you take on a handful of clients at a time and every one starts with a consultation, a form is better, because the conversation is the sale and a calendar skips it. If you run small group sessions with rolling availability, a real booking calendar earns its keep immediately, because people book classes at half ten at night and will not wait until Monday for a reply.

What about online coaching and plans, not just in-person?

That is where a website stops being a brochure and starts being the business. Online coaching, downloadable programmes and subscription plans all need somewhere to be sold, taken payment for and delivered, and none of that fits in a social profile. It is also the part of a training business that scales past the hours in your day, so it tends to be worth building properly rather than running through DMs and bank transfers.

How do I show results without promising things I cannot promise?

By showing the specific and avoiding the universal. A client's own words about what changed for them, with their permission, is honest and persuasive. A transformation photo with a timeframe attached is fine if it is real and the timeframe is stated. What we will not build you is a page implying a typical result, because it is not true and, for anything touching health, it is the kind of claim that comes back on you. Specific stories from named people do the job better anyway.
