The honest version

Tiling sells itself in a photograph, if anyone can find the photograph

Tiling is a gift to a website. A finished wet room, a kitchen splashback with level grout lines, a hallway floor laid to a pattern: these are the pictures people save when they are planning a room. Most tilers have dozens of them. They are usually on a personal phone, or on an Instagram account that the person searching "tiler near me" will never see.

The customer for a tiler is choosing on detail. They zoom in. They look at the cuts round a window, the line where a wall meets a bath, whether the trim is mitred. A website lets you put the close-ups next to the wide shots and say what the job was, which a social feed does not.

It also has to answer the practical question that social media never does: what do you take on. Bathrooms only or floors as well, natural stone or not, small repairs or full rooms only. Stating it saves you the enquiries you would turn down anyway.

What we build

What we would put on a tiler's website

Built around the way a customer inspects tiling work.

A gallery sorted by room

Bathrooms and wet rooms, kitchens and splashbacks, floors, outdoor. Each job with a wide shot and a close-up of the detail, and a line on the tile and the pattern.

What is under the tiles

Tanking, levelling, backer boards, decoupling on timber floors. Short and plain, so a customer understands what your quote includes.

Materials you work with

Ceramic, porcelain, large format, mosaic, natural stone. If you do not take on stone or do not seal it, say so here.

A quote request with measurements

Room, wall or floor area if they know it, whether tiles are already bought, old tiles to remove or not, photographs and a postcode.

How far ahead you are booked

A simple line you can ask us to update. A customer waiting on a bathroom fit needs to know whether you can make their dates before they ring.

Who you work alongside

A short note for fitters, builders and showrooms: the size of job you take, how you price for trade, and how to reach you directly.

No borrowed proof

We do not have a tiler as a client

There is no tiling firm among the sites we have live, so this page names nobody. We have built preview sites for tilers, and what is written here comes from that work and from the conversations around it.

The clients we do have are listed on our work page, each linked to their live site. They include a decorating firm, a joiner and a landscaper, all trades where the customer is buying a finish. If you want to judge what we would do for a tiler, the fairest test is the free preview: a real page for your business, built before you pay.

Getting found

How people look for a tiler

There are two kinds of search. The first is direct: wall and floor tiler, bathroom tiler, kitchen tiler, with a town. The second comes sideways, from someone planning a room: wet room installation, tiling a shower, can you tile over tiles, large format tiles on a timber floor. That second group is researching, and the tiler whose site answers the question plainly is the one they remember when they are ready.

For the direct searches, your Google Business Profile and its reviews carry most of the weight on the map, and the website confirms what you do and where. For the research searches the website does the work on its own, which is why a full site has a page for each type of job and a few short answers to the questions you are asked every week.

We do not sell rankings and we will not promise one. We build a fast site that is clear about your services and your area and that agrees with your Business Profile. That is the part that can be done properly, and it is the part most tiling firms have not done at all.

Repairs and small jobs

Decide what to do about the small enquiries

Every tiler gets them: three cracked tiles, a regrout, a bit of silicone round a bath. Some tilers want that work as filler between bigger jobs and some would rather never hear about it. The site should reflect which you are.

If you want small jobs, a repairs page with a minimum charge stated brings in work that fits around a day rate and often leads to the full bathroom a year later. If you do not, a clear line on the quote form about the smallest job you take on turns those enquiries away politely before they reach your phone.

Either answer is fine. What costs you time is saying nothing and fielding the calls.

How it works

Look at it first, pay afterwards

Give us your trading name and your best photographs. Within 48 hours we send a link to a working tiling page made for your business. If you do not want it, that is the end of it and you owe nothing.

£395 is a one-page site: gallery, services, area and a quote form. £650 is a full site with pages for bathrooms, kitchens, floors and repairs, which is what gets found for each of those separately. Builds with custom functionality start at £1,200. You can spread any build over three payments within twelve months at the same price.

A care plan starts at £45 a month, has no minimum term and is optional. Adding new job photographs for you is the sort of thing it covers.

Questions

What tilers ask us

I mostly get work through bathroom fitters and kitchen showrooms. Why would I want direct enquiries?

You may not want many. Direct work means quoting, visiting and dealing with the customer yourself. The reason to have a site anyway is choice: a steady trickle of direct enquiries lets you pick the jobs worth having, at your own rate, and it gives the fitters and showrooms who recommend you somewhere to send people that makes you both look good.

Should I show the price per square metre?

A guide helps, with the caveats written next to it. Tiling prices swing on tile size, pattern, preparation and how many cuts there are, and customers do not know that until someone tells them. A short section explaining why a herringbone splashback costs more per metre than a plain bathroom floor does more than a single number would. If you publish a figure, make it a labour guide for a straightforward job and say that a firm price follows a look at the room.

Do I need to explain tanking and preparation, or is that too technical?

Explain it briefly. A customer comparing two quotes for a wet room cannot see why one is higher unless someone tells them what is under the tiles. Two or three plain sentences on waterproofing, levelling and the right adhesive for large format tiles show that your price includes the part that stops the shower leaking through the ceiling.

My best photos are on Instagram. Can the site use those?

Yes. If they are your photographs of your work, we can take the originals from you and use them on the site at a proper size. We would not simply embed the Instagram feed as the gallery, because it loads slowly and puts your newest post first whether or not it is your best. The feed can sit lower down the page as a sign that you are active.

I only tile. Will a site make people think I fit whole bathrooms?

Not if it says so clearly, and it should. A line near the top such as tiling only, happy to work alongside your plumber or fitter, sets the expectation and saves both sides a wasted call. It also appeals to the customer who is managing their own trades and searching for a tiler by name.
