The challenge
A family-run Cheshire workshop that does its own work end to end — kitchens, full refurbs, extensions, roofs and garden rooms, with their own team and their own machinery. They needed a site that treated joinery as craft rather than a directory listing, and that could show the range of that work in one credible place.
What we built
An editorial, eight-page site, coded from scratch. A serif-led build (Fraunces) with a project portfolio, a before / strip-out / after refurb strip, an “own machinery, no hiring in” feature, and a start-a-project flow that turns interest into an enquiry.
- Editorial serif brand system (Fraunces / Inter / JetBrains Mono), bespoke CSS
- Services as numbered rows: kitchens, staircases, roofing, extensions, garden rooms, commercial, renovations
- Project portfolio gallery plus a before/after refurb feature
- Four town pages — Congleton, Middlewich, Nantwich, Sandbach — and a Netlify start-a-project form
The result
Live as the workshop’s professional online home, with a portfolio that proves the standard across their full range of work. The social proof on the site is a real, named Google reviewer, quoted verbatim and checkable on the live listing — which is a deliberate change from what was there before.
